Salicylic acid, with its lipid-soluble nature, penetrates deep into the pilosebaceous unit to clear pigment-laden cells. Kojic acid and alpha-arbutin further reduce melanin synthesis by inhibiting tyrosinase, effectively lightening dark spots and uneven tone.
